I always shed tears rewatching/rereading NANA. It’s a bit of nostalgia I feel from when I was 14 and thought NANA was going to be this simple tale of two friends; but the complexity, realistic, and beautifully written story made me grow as a person. After NANA, I didn’t know what to do. Now I carry both Nana and Hachi, throughout my life now as a (now) 20 year old. NANA will forever be a piece of my heart, a childhood memory, and a wound waiting to be healed.
